Shazam! just topped the box office for a second week in a row. How many of this weekend's fans were repeat viewers, watching a second or even third time to try and catch all of the Easter eggs? Director David F. Sandberg is doing his part to get even more fans into seats to see the DC movie. When a fan pointed out a key little nugget in the background of a scene, Sandberg shared it as an argument for people to go back and watch Shazam! again:

Yes, that ACE Chemicals logo ties to the Gotham storyline, specifically the Joker. According to the DC story, the Joker fell into a vat of chemical solution at ACE and transformed into the villain we know and love to hate today.

The ACE logo was shown during Shazam!'s warehouse scene, when Billy and Freddy tried to figure out the extent of Billy's new powers. Some fans replied to the original tweet saying they missed this particular Easter egg when watching the movie.

Another tie to the DCEU is where the empty warehouse was filmed. According to ScreenRant, they used the Hearn Generating Station outside of Toronto -- the same location used for ACE Chemicals during Suicide Squad.

Since David F. Sandberg pointed out the Easter egg himself, he probably hoped some fans would put the pieces together, even if it took multiple viewings. The director has been sharing little Easter eggs for the past year, long before the movie even opened -- including nods to Man of Steel, and a copy of The Daily Planet in Freddy's room, with a report on Lex Luthor.

As you probably know by now, Shazam! had originally hoped for a cameo from the DCEU's current Superman, Henry Cavill, but scheduling issues got in the way. Shazam! still managed to include a version of its intended scene, in honor of superhero-obsessed Freddy. At this point, many fans already know that Justice League changed quite a bit between the moment the cameras initially started rolling and the film's November 17, 2017 release date. Several scenes ended up on the cutting room floor, and it looks like we have not seen the last of the sequences that could've ended up in the rumored Snyder Cut. In fact, Zack Snyder himself has just taken to his Vero account in honor of International Women's Day in order to tease a deleted scene between Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Ma Kent (Diane Lane). Check out his post, below.

We do not know precisely when that scene would've taken place in Justice League, but it appears to be set on Kent Farm -- which Ma Kent sells at the beginning of the theatrical cut. This seems to imply that an earlier version of the movie kept the homestead in Ma Kent's possession, and offered a setting for another mother-daughter bonding session between Lois and Martha. That is already a notable change from the theatrical cut because as it currently stands, their most substantial exchange occurs at The Daily Planet, a.k.a the scene in which Ma Kent unintentionally makes that "thirsty" joke to Lois.

It is interesting to note that there was more Ma Kent/Lois Lane material that didn't end up in Justice League because that seems to line up with the themes of other scenes that never made it to the movie. Justice League was trimmed down to the essentials when Zack Snyder left the project, and Joss Whedon took his place, and it looks like Superman (Henry Cavill) was the character who received the bulk of the trimming. Between this Vero post and the other cut Superman scenes (which revealed the long-rumored black suit and his exchange with Jeremy Irons' Alfred), it is pretty clear that Supes and his supporting cast had far more substantial roles in Justice League in its earliest incarnations.

Now it is a matter of waiting to see whether or not audiences will ever get a chance to check out these scenes restored to an alternate version of Justice League. Many fans have called for the release of the Snyder Cut ever since the theatrical cut of Justice League debuted, but we have heard conflicting reports as to whether or not that could even happen (or if the Snyder Cut even exists in the first place).

Justice League is currently available on Digital HD, and the DVD and Blu-ray versions will debut on March 13. As for 2018's biggest superhero adventures, make sure to watch out for the first Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) adventure when James Wan's Aquaman premieres in theaters on December 21.

The Hulk Originally Could Have Turned To Dust In Avengers: Infinity War

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been on a serious roll in Phase Three, as every new blockbuster has been met with critical and box office success. The last decade of filmmaking will come to a head when Avengers: Endgame arrives in a matter of days, picking up the narrative from the shocking ending of Infinity War. The Russo Brothers broke fans hearts by wiping out half of all life, as moviegoers watched countless fan favorite characters fade to dust.

I didnt know until I saw the movie. For one take, I did disappear, and then the other one I didnt.

Well, this is wild. Bruce Banner/Hulk has been in every Avengers movie, so it's hard to imagine Endgame without the big green guy. But it looks like that was on the table for a while, as The Russo Brothers had Mark Ruffalo film a dusting scene of his very own.

In the end, all of the OG Avengers managed to survive The Decimation, along with supporting characters like War Machine, Rocket, Okoye, and Nebula. But it turns out that Bruce Banner could have perished, as Mark Ruffalo filmed both endings for his character. Ruffalo recently revealed this, saying:

Mark Ruffalo's comments to Yahoo are sure to puzzle cinephiles, given how Infinity War and Endgame were filmed directly after each other. As such, Hulk's fate presumably was only a question for a limited time. Because The Russo Brothers had the scheduling nightmare of working out shooting for Endgame, and would need Ruffalo to clear up his schedule in order to play Banner/Hulk alongside the rest of the living heroes.

The ending of Avengers: Infinity War was truly devastating, as the fandom didn't expect Thanos to win and exterminate so many iconic characters. And it seems The Russo Brothers experimented a bit with who would be a victim of the snap, and fade to dust before our eyes. Instead of merely being phased into a rock in the Hulkbuster armor, Bruce Banner could have also faded to dust from within the suit. And with that ending, Hulk wouldn't have gotten another chance to face off against the Mad Titan.

Luckily, Bruce Banner survived the snap, and should have a meaty role alongside the rest of the survivors when Avengers: Endgame finally hits theaters. Fans are especially eager to see Hulk return to the screen, as he was largely absent in Infinity War after losing a fight in the film's opening scene. As a reminder, you can check out that scuffle below.

Merchandise from Avengers: Endgame hints at a rematch for these two powerful characters, so it's a good thing that Hulk wasn't dusted during The Snap. It's also poetic to see the original team reunited in the upcoming blockbuster, allowing The Russo Brothers to end the narrative that started back with Iron Man in 2007.
